Andoh has potential and also a lot to learn but if he does fulfil that potential he really could be worth something. Not yet though, let the lad develop at the Vale.

I'd find it relatively hard to belive this is just paper talk. Paper talk links popular well know players to other big clubs. Bale to United etc. If someone was making up a story to fill column inches and to sell papers, why would it be of a little known winger at a small club? Even if it is to a relatively large club like spurs. Austin at Christmas would be an easier filler story.

I went to Liverpool v Villa yesterday because I got an offer from a season ticket holder. In the context of Andoh doing well at that level there were a few obvious differences to league 1. Big quick players. Better anticipation. Much higher standard of tackling especially chasing back from behind and sliding. He needs to be quick and skilful and sufficiently strong. Has the potential but needs development. Showed he could do it against Burnley / WBA? Is he as good as Andros Townsend, that is the gap to bridge to get in the Spurs squad?

He's been a positive of pre-season and the start of the season, that is no doubt. But, he doesn't have an assist or a goal to his name as yet. Dodds and Daniel on the other hand have more "key contributions" in a game yet get slated relentlessly,.

 

£2.5m, I'll be honest, as sad as I would be to see him go as he does entertain, it's a no brainer to snap their hand off, if the rumours are indeed true.
