I don't trust in Page's judgement based upon his farcical team selection on occasions and negative tactics last season which nearly cost us our Division 1 status. I would go with Boot and I haven't even seen him play!! Johnson has not improved over the past couple of years in fact he has gone backwards. My fear for him is that if he makes a mistake on Saturday and that costs us the game he will be hung out to dry potentially being the final nail in his Port Vale coffin.

Its only the first game but its a massive first game.

Crewe, along with us and Colchester are relegation favourites. We will be tested a hell of a lot more by other teams during the season. So i really would like to see us take the game to them and unleash the pace and power we have on them.

Putting the keeper situation to one side, i would love to see Andoh start. I think he could be a real find. I just hope Page doesnt hold the likes of him back.

I too think Andoh is a fantastic prospect and hope he is unleashed sooner rather than later by Page.

To be fair last season was last season,we now have a whole new coaching set up so i am just focussing on the future and not how we played last season

I think that is a valid comment from Werstayinup. The squad we've put together look on paper quite good. If the two young centre halves can gel that could make a big difference.

How can we talk Andoh? The same folks who wanted the saviour Campion, bar ST? Let's see how we do for a game or two at least but having that potential on the bench ie Andoh, AJ, et al is far better than where we've been in years.
