I can't be the only one who is sick and tired of reading what Tom thinks every week.

Today he is backing Adam Yates over losing his number 2 shirt, calling it disrespectful.

Yes, i know he is a fan but he isn't Mr. Port Vale.

He moved on.

We have moved on.

 

In a few years time i will be delighted to hear his opinions in the local newspaper. But not weeks after he left for a rival club to get more money.

 

Must admit I completely agree and the story today is really quite ridiculous especially when he uses words like disrespectful. I'm sure he has a ghost writer that could guide him with terminology.

 

It was a good read when he was actually a player but now he's getting everything 3rd hand he's clearly struggling to come up with content. I don't know how anyone else feels but I won't be interested in hearing all about what he gets up to at Bury other than in our two games. It probably has run its course now and if a column must be written surely something from the chairman, manager or actual captain of the team makes more sense?

 

Robbie Earle's column is far more balanced and generally a better read.

Yates has been at the club since 2009 and although a long term player is hardly a club legend. He is mediocre and if he thinks he deserves some kind of special treatment based on his league 1 performances he can think again. I also read that he claimed he was the longest serving player. Well that isn't true as Dodds joined the season before him
