Englands defence defo worries me. But as already stated we defo got the squad to win us the euros..Beechy, is their already a thread on euro 2016? If not start one lad.come ed.lol

Bit early yet, give it another month or so! ;)

Definitely think we have the attacking players to do well so long as our better players aren't burnt out after a grueling season in the Premiership. I can't remember England going into a tournament with attacking players so in form. Hodgson has a decent squad to choose from, as proven with a 'second 11' that doesn't include any of the players I listed earlier in the thread.

Forster

Clyne

Jagielka

Jones?

Gibbs

Delph

Wilshere (if he makes it)

Barkley

Lallana

Rooney

Sturridge

Hart

Walker (just ahead of Clyne)

Cahill

Stones

Rose

Dier

Milner

Alli

Welbeck

Kane

Vardy

Mine 4 2 3 1

Hart

Walker Cahill Smalling Rose

Dier Henderson (if fit)/Milner if not

Alli Barkley Welbeck

Kane

I've tried to shoe horn Vardy in but I can't leave out Kane and can't see the point of playing Vardy anywhere else but as the main striker...but to be honest I'd be pretty much as happy with Vardy instead of Kane. Milner gets in cos he can be effective and like Dier is a hard worker which is what is needed in those positions. Stones I say no cos with this formation we need out and out defenders in the centre back positions. Alli would for me be wasted playing further back. Welbeck for the same reasons as you gave. I think Barkley can be a game changer like Alli

If I was to play Vardy I'd play him from the start as he'd be a right pain in the **** to play against as he'd never leave you alone which would really test European defenders that like time on the ball. Plus they'd very quickly realise how vulnerable they are to his pace which would affect their game. Maybe I've just talked him up ahead of Kane for the above reasons ;)

I suppose he'll pick Rooney cos he is his captain so Welbeck or Barkley would probably miss out in that case

Id play Kane as main man up top with Roo just behind him. How Spurs broke on the attack last night is how i expect us to play in the Euros.

Hart

Clyne, Cahill , Smalling, Rose

Dier, Milner

Ali Welbeck

Rooney

Kane

Given Spurs performance last night (and throughout the season) I'd put Walker ahead of Clyne

Some people (mainly Hammers fans) are clamouring for Andy Carroll's inclusion at the Euro's after his recent hat-trick.There's no way Hodgson will take him over Kane,Vardy,Rooney,Sturridge and Welbeck unless he has to.

For me Carroll should go as an impact sub, a plan B, he should have gone in the same role to the 2014 World Cup. I'd also take Andros Townsend for a similar role, he's direct and can score a goal out of nothing, good crosser of a ball to.

Who would you leave out for Carroll and Townsend? Personally I'd rather we took Andy Townsend than Andros even though he's ineligible to play and past it!! :)

I'd take Carroll over Welbeck every day of the week, and twice on Sundays.

I think Roy will stay loyal to the players who helped get him to the tournament and this is where Welbeck has the advantage.Plus he seems to play better for his country than he does for the Gunners.Mind you,Carroll would be a great impact sub.
