Yes,he's got a shocking record in his first two seasons in the PL,1st and 2nd is SIMPLY not acceptable.

For a side that spends over 100m a season since 2008/09 , but still not made it past the round of 16 in the champions league is pretty poor.

Where's the simpleton who said they wouldn't finish top 4......and that David Silva was past it.....

You can only blame Pellegrini for the last two seasons though and Citeh have never had much success in Europe apart from one UEFA Cup 45 years ago.

Nobody can say that Pellegrini has done anything but a pretty ordinary job during his time at City so far, not when you consider the money they have spent and the squad they have. They've just about made it over the line in their two title winning seasons and have been a huge failure in Europe under him. And although Rodgers gets vilified here for the signings he has made nothing seems to get said about Pellegrini, who has squandered vast amounts of money on the likes of Mangala (32 million), Fernando (12 million), Fernandinho (30 million), Bony (25 million) and Jovetic (22 million) - Not one of them could be considered a success at this moment in time. Well over £100 million spent and not one of them has improved the starting 11 that was already there when he replaced Mancini. Truth of the matter is he is very, very lucky to still be in that job, and probably wouldn't be if a really top manager was available this summer.

And he spent 191m in those two seasons on top of a squad arguably already worth more than that, but delivered nothing on the european front. Let alone scoring a last minute goal to win the title.

Whereas Rodgers has spent nearly £300 million and can't get into the top four or win a trophy.

Rodgers in.

Pellegrini is so lucky to still be in the City job?So lucky that he has been given a contract extension.

Exactly, anybody else in their right mind wouldnt waste their time with him. Rumour was Pep at the end of this season for 100m contract over 5 years. Maybe they want to give pellegrini a golden hand shake.

Liverpool's net spend is far lower than Man City's. Also, what does Rodgers wasting money have to do with Pellegrini and my point in the first place, you twonk? Your fascination with Liverpool is both weird and scary.

Yes. He was on the verge of being sacked last season if you go by what many of what the tabloids were saying. And why wouldn't he be when he was disgraced in Europe again and they got knocked out at home to a Championship club in the FA Cup? No doubt you'll try to spin your response to bring Liverpool into it. Weirdo.
