Question for LB

If Mo is loaning us money is he not securing it on the ground so if it went **** up would he not be able to sell the ground without the shareholders permission.

This is a question not a dig so please feel to answer anyone else but I am not asking to wind up so no abuse please

I was waiting for someone else to raise this obvious point - in case I got blamed for causing trouble.

Mo is buying shares in PVFC.

PVFC's biggest asset is the land and ground.

Mo is not buying land.

Which is the odd one out?

I'm not against MC taking control. If he moves PVFC to a new ground in 5 years time, sells the ground with OPP as part of the deal for £6m and then sells his 51% share in PVFC to someone else in year 6 for a profit - then it will be down to the land deals.

Good luck to him. I hope he pulls it off. But if he's buying into Vale, he's buying into Vale Park.

Unless he's negotiating to buy the business only - and Vale Park stays in the ownership of others......?

I don't follow that line of argument. Why would he need to secure the loan of his money against anything? You only need to provide security for a loan if you are the borrower and the lender wants something to get his hands on if you default surely.

Mel i mentioned this the other night at a B&G meeting but we wouldn't know where to start, do you have any info/contacts we could approach?

No-one in particular - I'm not in advertising but given the number of unused billboards at the moment I gather they're available at relatively low prices.

If you wanted to use the one mentioned elsewhere in this thread, first find out which agency runs it - their name should be at the bottom of the board - and then find their details; that internet thingy is good for that sort of thing. I would have thought that with a bit of haggling B & G could get it for a reasonable price.
