What's the deal with Bury?

We are all curious how Bury can afford to make Tom Pope a better offer than Smurf can, but what exactly is happening there?

Have the questions raised in the following article ever been answered?

Another pack of cards ready to tumble? Or do they have the money and the ability to manipulate the system to get Bury promoted again?

Chairman Stewart Day wanted to make football affordable so he dropped ticket prices to £15 for League 2 football?

http://www.exeterexpressandecho.co.uk/League-Bury-8217-s-chairman-Stewart-Day-bucking/story-21747793-detail/story.html

Yes, indeed. That was last July, so how's it worked for them as they won promotion?

Last home game of the season against Shrewsbury (wasn't that a "must-win" game to be sure of automatic promotion?): 4,277.

Average for the season: 3,774.

Something doesn't add up, if you ask me.

Totally agree but he's saying all the right things I suppose.

I'll give him two years.

I have come to the conclusion that most of professional football and come to that any sport where money is connected is "Dodgy" .......I have never been so disillusioned, there has always been problems, laughable to think that years ago it was tea services that caused you to have to seek re election that caused controversy

Totally agree all the uproar about Fifa is just cobblers. Football is just total corruption and a game of money. What used to be eleven players from one town v a team fom from town b has become a game of monopoly. The spread of cash across the premier to league two is shocking.

The next step in the next two years will be that premier leage clubs will only have to charge ten pounds admission whilst league one or two will not exist

It's not sport any more its total monopoly

This is Bury's response to the Guardian article: http://www.buryfc.co.uk/news/article/statement-press-story-re-finance-2080774.aspx

Companies House currently has 8 outstanding charges listed against the company - don't know what they may be.

Can someone interpret this for me? I don't speak the lingo...
