I know meant a large sum for the transfer fee. I can't imagine the percentage we would pay for inniss would be much, experience is what there after.

I don't believe that the posters on this thread are better judges of players' worth, ability and potential than the manager, particularly when they talk about players being League 2 players without any justification or idea of the difference between a League 1 and and a League 2 player. The most important steps are already being taken in reforming the back room staff so let's have a bit of patience and some belief in our ability instead of all the doom and gloom.

with the greatest respect these guys haven't played a season here, some of these are on over 100 games.... fans who have watched maybe 6 season with some of these players can say they have a good judge of what these guys can offer at the level we are currently at. In fact really with Bodin and Page having seen less games than most avid fans then unless they are miracle workers its unlikely that they will get more out of them than the previous 4 managers did.

 

That said every manager thinks they are better than the previous one... most rarely are

But with all due respect, Page and Bodin have a combined 50 years in professional football between them so I'm sure they know the difference between a League One and League Two player. Every manager has to take their 1st step somewhere, and you hope that Page's first steps with the Vale lead to a bright future for him in the game. Either at Vale or not, but that we get some of the benefit along the way :D

"Page's first steps with the Vale..."........well apart from the expected brief upturn from new manager syndrome which is often motivated by players guilt at getting a manager sacked Page lost the magic six straight defeats but unlike Adams didn't do the honourable thing and resign...Page ended the season with one win in eleven and nearly got the club relegated...next up Smurf unbelievably gives the novice a 2 year deal but to cap it all off

that horrendous retained list and the club letting it's best players leave.....next season is going to be one long relegation battle.

But remember "don't judge me till I get my own players Page" signed the lot back up so they were his players afterall and therefore it is fair to judge

Page's first steps with the Vale which being just short of nigh on a whole season of first steps produced horrible football and almost a relegation.
