It's been on the cards for a while.

 

This season has petered out but Big Sam never really played the game the WHU way and as they're moving to a marvellous new stadium in 12 months time I think the owners wanted someone with a more expansive outlook.

 

He knows the game - a bit like Pulis - but his style of football isn't that pleasing on the eye.

Get them up, keep them and at least fourth worst- he did brilliant. I can see why they are getting rid though as I don't think they'll push on under his management, in a very similar way too that of Pulis at Stoke

Whatever "the West Ham way" is, it is nothing like as effective as the Sam Allardice way. I'm sure Sam will get another club, if he wants one, in fact he seems to have been aware for some time that he would be leaving West Ham this year and may have already made other arrangements.

Big Sam for Newcastle again?? Seems the Geordies were prepared to see out the season without appointing a replacement for Pardew and, lo and behold, we hear that Big Sam gave most of the West Ham team last week off from training, and what happens....Newcastle beat them to secure their Premier League safety.
