Yep, normally they are given a set time to accept or negotiate the offer before its withdrawn so new plans can be made.

 

The players whose contracts expire will still be paid on their current terms until the expiry of their current terms for this season which normally expire at the end of June annually.

You can't really call them fans if they are turning their back on the club for such petulance.

Norman as a long standing fan of 60 years this year I will be there again next season.

 

Our gates were down last season because our home form was very poor and we didn't go home happy very often.

 

But to criticise fans for not turning up in vast numbers on the promise of an unspecified Prem League striker being signed is simply unfair.

 

If you had signed the player when you had the opportunity and if he was a 'sit up and take notice' player you would have seen 6000 plus on his debut. If he had made us into a winning team they would have stuck with you.

 

What really impressed me with the fans was the last match of the season where around 2,000 pay on the dataBase fans turned up for a match on which nothing hinged.

 

Then this is where your bad luck again came to haunt you ... We were crap!

 

What's more whenever we attracted a good home crowd last season we always played crap.

 

When we played anyone in the bottom four at home we played one up front, stood off them, and got beat.

 

Norman, all of us are Vale fans, we all desperately want our club to be successful but there was one common denominator to my points above and it's not the fans !!

Without that addition there would be no OConnor or Marshall and some not worth stating

l cannot keep spending hoping there will be a response

So this season will be different as stated

Agree with a lot you say but surely you can see their is no sense whatsoever in having such a large squad of players who are not good enough as first team players,and i can not understand for one minute that the retained list would not be discussed during your talks with Rob Page over his position as our potential manager,after all if you were considering having a new house built you would surely discuss what materials were going to be used before you handed over the contract,rather than the builder going out and purchasing 60,000 substandard bricks when he could have purchased half the number of top quality bricks for the same price and that number would have been more than adequate for the job.Wishing you well for the new season.
