Realistic targets for next season

I like how the unrealistic vale fans wants us to sign JET. Fair enough he would be a great signing for us. Thinking realistically We would struggle to afford his wages. I would never rule it out for the future though. At this moment in time I would say no we can't sign him. Big wages for a great player unfortunately.

Obviously you know what his wages are?, So I assume Maghoma would be on a lot less by playing in the championship?

There's already been a few good players released, including. surprisingly, some reasonable defenders, and I think we could afford JET with a combination of increased ST sales, and cut in size of the squad? Much talk about there being a budget cut, but isn't this - like every season - dependent upon ST sales and other predicted income?

I agree, and in relation to the squad size it all depends on cutting out the dead wood, the combined wage of two could bag us one quality player.

Some players I noticed have been released today:

Lewis Buxton, Giles Coke, Gary Madine, Jacques Maghoma and Joe Mattock are all decent players from Sheff Wednesday.

Others include: Richard Brindley/Mark Bradley from Rotherham, Anthony Gerrard/Jon Stead from Huddersfield, Marcus Williams from Scunthorpe, Febian Brandy from Rochdale, James Norwood from Forest Green, Matt Green/Gavin Gunning from Birmingham.

Long shots so far are Emmanuel Thomas and Nicky Maynard.

Matt Green scored a lot of goals at Mansfield
