Well im going Turkey in July, which borders Syria. Am I bothered about terrorist?? Am I ****. If terrorists bothered me id never leave the country. We got as much chance as a terrorist attack in the UK than anywhere else in Europe at the mo..

Can't believe Carl turned a thread about a holiday into threat of terrorism! haha. Funny bloke isn't he.

 

I think we're going for something in the Carribbean. Found an island resort that can only be reached by boat. You fly to Barbados I think and then get a private jet to the next nearest airport before taking a ten minute boat ride to the island. Package isn't too bad and there's no kids allowed either. Adults only so its either full of swingers, old people or both. Apparently the island can be walked round in 30mins.

 

Did look at one called Sainte Anne I think - sounded ok but there were a lot of negative reviews online. Thing is a couple of years ago we went to Sugar Beach on St Lucia which pretty much spoilt us - butlers, private dining, yachts and we even blagged a villa which at the time was £10k for a week!!! (we got it as it was a delayed honeymoon) ... its where Matt Damon got married and now loads of film stars go to it ... the price has now rocketed and is out of reach. Sadly.

 

Dubai etc doesn't interest us. Did look at Mauritius but my wife goes there with her mate. Seychelles and Maldives looked ok but nothing jumped out.

 

So far I think we're going to the Carib again. Which isn't something to complain about!

 

 

You may be thinking we're loaded - we aren't but we save hard and only do trips like this once every 2-3 years. Other years we camp in Wales or we're sharing a villa in Tuscany soon - we only need to pay for flights and food out there.
