I wonder just what Norman thinks, he has been quiet of late.

Unless I'm wrong our form of the last 12 games would place us in 24th position.

You normally find that when a season ends in such a struggle it carries the same momentum into the start of the next.

 

It really depends on Norman. If he truly desires a team that could challenge for promotion as he says, then, unfortunately he will have to kick start it with his decisions and money. Positivity will be rewarded by season ticket sales up towards the 4K mark. Failure to do nothing or little will result in less than 2K in season ticket sales and even less walk-up custom.

 

Based on entertainment and quality of football witnessed this season you cannot blame people for walking.

The thick/ thin support theory only applies to a very small percentage of the fan base of any club.

woeful performance today I know we were safe but a bit of effort would have been good I think earlier poster is right about it being o Connors last game for vale and judging by popes face on the lap of shame I think hes already signed elsewhere agree with above poster Darren Ferguson would be a great shout no doubt norm will go for the cheap option and keep Page god I hope not he showed again by bringing Birchall on just what an inept manager he really is.

It's ok banding names about but the ones mentioned cost megabucks and we are going to struggle for cash next year.

 

You have to look for someone like Page who has been a coach and wants the progress. Rudge had a similar background. Smith at Walsall is similar.

PVFC won't be able to afford big names and big wages. Ferguson spent millions at 'Boro and got sacked!

 

I'm changing my mind about Veseli. He's been poor at right back and culpable in several goals including today. He has great ability on the ball but he might well be too lightweight at this level.

 

Having said that, the only three players I'd be pushing out the boat to keep here are O'Connor, Marshall and Pope, and I guess all three might be off. In which case, get your prayer mats out for next year because it's going to be a rocky ride.
