i'll also say this ive never met bill bratt, or even spoke to him, but i think the abuse he as had to put up with is totally out of order, the bloke loves the club , and is trying his best,

I do remember how much worse things were when the cultured Mr bell threatened to close the club down though, tried to get extra money for the club shop and ended up sacking the best manager we ever had, then cost the club a few hundred grand in compensation.

 

Definate NO to Paladini, Bell and Newton. Dont know about the board or Mo, but

Not only did Bell give us success, he owned the club with his own money, not like Bratt, owning the club with other peoples money, and not giving us any success, the only thing he has given us is grief, and plenty of it at that.

Of course you can. The problem is that the huge transfer fees that kept the club going under John Rudge don't exist in the same way now thanks to that idiotic Bosman ruling and the way the greedy prem clubs have taken bigger sums away from the lower division clubs year after year.

Even under v2001, if transfer fees were around, Rudge would still have prospered. Unfortunately a manager like John Rudge only comes around once in a blue moon. Having said that, I have big hopes for MA but the person who came on here and said he was better than JR was living in dreamland.

Bell without the transfer fees would have seen Vale in admin much earlier, even with over £8million profit the lovable old hound still managed to get Vale relegated and into admin.

I know times have changed especially with Bosman but I have doubts had V2001 been on board they would have backed him like Bell did initially, especially with the money they found for Dean Glover which was a frightening amount back then and also reinvesting other transfer fees ala the McCarthy to Ainsworth deal, I'm sure most would have gone on the day to day running of the club:rolleyes: also how would they have faired back then with the ground improvements, I reckon we'd still have an open air Hamil rd end and that dodgy Bycars end tea bar at the back of the stand:D

 

 

As for your question, I think the Internet has greatly intensified criticism and Bell may have got his axe out before resigning, not sure Bratt is one for the axe!:)

Don't worry, Wayne. The shifty fifty are running out of time, space and bandwidth. V2001 are here long term and it hurts them but one day they will wake up and smell the Coffee. It's for the good of Port Vale Football Club.
