I don't think its that great a goal. The keeper was a mile of his line. Its not that hard to kick the ball into an open goal. I think the Crouch volley against man city was a much better goal and harder to do.

Without a shadow of doubt,Crouch's goal was much better,but just on this weeks goals,Defoe's ain't one of of the worst?

You see volleys week in week out, you see goals of great skill week in week out .... when was the last time you saw one scored from that distance?

 

It's a shame it was a Sjokie but it was the most audacious goal I have seen in just short of 60 years watching footie.
