For me, from what I've seen at least, O'Connor/Lines as a duo doesn't really work. Lines is hopeless defensively and while O'Connor is better I think his ability on the ball is somewhat wasted if he's having to sit too deep. Out of the two I would opt for O'Connor every day of the week.

I'd certainly look at cancelling Dickinson and duffys, especially Duffy.

Dicko has improved massively of late one of our better players during this good run.

 

Too right, he's looking more like the player he did when he first came. I don't know why he's struggled this season but I'm sure he'd be the first to admit he hasn't been at his best, I think he's an honest player.

 

Dicko on form is as good a left back as you'll get in L1. Or would some of us prefer someone in the range of Craig James / Kris Taylor / Rob Taylor, players of varying quality but none as good as Dickinson. There aren't too many Allen Tankards or Darren Hughes' out there.

I hate when players are described as "honest" as if it's some kind of talent. More often than not Dickinson is the weak link in the side.

With Brown probably retiring, or at least playing a smaller part, I think Lines will stay. The 2 need a good pre-season together, to gell that understanding, The side should be built around them. Pope is a must stay, Willo and Dodds can both leave, We have a great choice with the wingers, all can stay. Neal is a must to stay, Duffy and Yates can go. With a few gems from the sweety man, I think we could challenge next season.

I don't understand why Jennings was never given a proper go. As Williamson should be more of a bench option, we could have played Jennings as the holding midfielder, with Lines and O'Connor allowed to get forward to support Pope and not have to worry so much about what's behind them, with Marshall and Moore playing to either side of Pope?

Can't see o'connor stating due to his location and with his good form he won't be short of offers. If I could earn the same if not better money but not travel as far I would jump at the chance.

The players are put up in Cottage properties/Smurthwaite's hotels during the week.

 

O'Connor has two kids though which is why he commutes everyday from Lincoln.
