A mutual friend contacted me this morning and our Brussels Valiant OVF/PVO friend Stephen D'Arcy has passed away. I don't have any other news at the moment. I don;t know what his OVF user name was.

 

He was an avid Valiant coming over for many games and had a indisputable knowledge of beer. He was more active in the early days of the internet and ValeMail.

 

Thoughts are with his friends and family

Very sad news, I too remember Stephen (who I remember back to the ValeMail days) with fondness although we only ever communicated online. RIP.

Lovely man. Last talked to him in the Bulls Head when he was over for a Vale match. I remember seeing him at the cup match at Ford.He had flown over from Brussels for the match. I think he got back to Brussels before I got back to S-O-T!

Sad news that Steve has died suddenly aged 62 at his home in Brussels.

Originally from Clayton he was a massive Port Vale fan and regularly commuted from Belgium.

There will be a service of remembrance at St Werburg Clayton at 11am on saturday March 21st.

All friends who new Steve are most welcome.
