Tom Pope

Agree with the OP.

Pope needs to stop going on about his contract, as if he is entitled to one, and start putting in the performances.

He was absolutely dreadful tonight. He won about 2 headers and gave the ball away constantly. Williamson's hold up play was miles better.

I can't believe that our top goal scorer should think he is entitled to a new contract after all he's only scored 59 goals in this time. Who does he think he is?????

Yeah but 33 of those were in the league below.

He's been fairly average since then.

the key phrase there i 'in his time' just because a player has previously done well dosent mean he is entitled to contracts for x amount of years. Shall we keep signing him up until he is 40, just because he has scored 59 goals in 4/5 years.

I know your being sarcastic but your correct 'who does he think he is', if he thought he was entitled to a contract just because of a good couple of seasons two years back then there is something seriously wrong.

26 goals in 67 games over the last two injury hit seasons. An average of 1 in every 2.6 games. Not a bad ratio for a player who never takes spot kicks.

He's never been the same since he signed his last contract. Doesn't look after himself by all accounts and seems to think he's got a God like status. Plus he's not convincing the chairman on current form he deserves a new well paid contract. Did the Vale really miss him when he was out injured?

And for a player who has led the line in all 67 games in which he never gets subbed.

For league 1 he has 18 in 66. That is rubbish for a player considered to be undroppable

Also its 26 in 76 in all comps in the last two years....

Infact ill add to that, theres a reason he dosent take spot kicks, he cant, can remember the one at tranmere last season, what an awful penalty that was.

Can I ask you an honest question? Are Tom Pope's goals all he brings to the team? If your answer is yes then I give up.
