I'm absolutely fine with us having a close look at potential recruits and then letting them go - provided that the players, and importantly the parent clubs know that's what we are intending to do

If not there could be a danger that as we never seem to play them in first team, and lack of communication about how we intend to use them in the first place, could deter other clubs from allowing us to take them in the first place

Pointless signings yet again. In January it was key we brought in a defender and instead signed these two. I'm all for us looking at players but there was no hope in us signing the likes of luer. Waste of time

Fair comment and also perhaps a possible reflection on Norman getting involved with the on-pitch decisions?

I've argued this before (and at the risk of being shouted down) I can see the point of this.

These players were brought in when we had several injuries stacking up (Dodds, Williamson, Campion all picked up knocks).

They were there to be potentially used, but didn't (well, not much).

It's perfectly conceivable that the club bringing them in gave existing players a kick up the backside and this made them perform better.

It's also possible that they were only ever brought in for cover. However, if we had picked up any more injuries then O'Sullivan and Luer would have started and not been on the sidelines. If they hadn't have been there we'd have potentially been reduced to players playing out of position (Dicko in midfield anyone?)

So, yes, they didn't play much at all but as they came from clubs higher up the ladder I cannot imagine we paid much in wages and unless we are going to use our entire loan allocation at once (which I doubt because I think it's five loan players in the match squad) what's the problem?
