He is an idiot if he thinks playing 10 kids and Neal is going to be successful. The best sides still have proven experienced players in the spine of the team. Even the Man Utd team that famously "will win nothing with kids" had a spine of Schmichael, Bruce, Pallister, Keane, Cantona, Andy Cole.

 

I hope your not comparing the likes of Adam Yates and Louis Dodds to them Manchester United legends. To be fair though most on here would have Adam Yates over the likes of Branislav Ivanovic

No. I suspect you know the point I am making, but it's an excuse to have a pop at some of our current players. In case you don't know the point I am making, all successful teams have an experienced spine to their team. Ours for example could be Neal, new centre half, O'Connor (or ideally someone better, but with similar experience), Brown, Lines, Pope.

I am trying to highlight the silliness of your post, pull yourself together man and get behind the lads. We have lost two games by very close margins and you suddenly expect us to be relegated, have you forgotten we beat Sheffield utd, peterborough and rochdale in the last couple of months, all sides in and around the play offs. Let alone comfortably beating Yeovil, Leyton orient, colchester and crawley this season, the current bottom four.

Thought from the moment he came on he looked a class player. Yes it was only a few minutes but I would like to see more of him.

 

Having been one who has criticised posters for demanding Campion get a game when they hadn't seen him play I have to say he looked worth a start on Tuesday because the fans that make the journey deserve to see us have a go at them even if we lose 6-3 rather than another insipid and unprofessional defensive line up.

 

I thought it was Campion who was on the end of Popes through ball for the pen but RS said it was Birchall?

We do need more pace and energy going forward. Both Pope and Campion are quite slow.

If you play them both you need two wingers getting crosses into the box but it's no good playing long balls for them to run the channels like BW.

I'll get slaughtered probably but I'd still like to see Moore and Marshall in tandem - to see if the service to Pope improves.

But why not give the lad a start. If he's quick and can chase long balls over the top it's something that we missed today - and he did well in the few minutes he was on the pitch.

Judging by the pace he was(nt) moving at pretty sure it was Birchall
