On the basis we could easily find ourselves FIVE strikers (including Dodds) light come teatime tomorrow, is it time to give Big Col a go leading the line Saturday??

I initially though he was nothing better than a squad player, but I'm starting to change my opinion..He puts himself about and has pretty good control and mobility for a big man. Plus, importantly, he seems to know where the net is, and I can't say I remember him fluffing too many chances when they come his way.

I'm not saying he wouldn't need a few games to get to grips with the role, but I think him up top in a 4-5-1 with a bit of pace down the flanks (i.e. NOT Birchall) would work.

Of course, it may be wishful thinking on my part, as Page is just as likely to replace Pope and Williamson with Duffy and McGiven.

Anyone who went yesterday have any thoughts???

He's defo worth considering as we are now short on strikers, yesterday was a prime example, Willo gets injured and we have no other options available. As stated, he seems to know where the net is and I can't remember him being responsible for any **** ups.

With the teams around us having games in hand (3 in some cases), I would class Saturday as a must-win.

At the risk of stating the obvious, we need a proven "someone" to score some goals.....relying on CD to do that is a huge risk.

Rob Page seemed adamant yesterday in the post-match interview that getting some bodies in is non-negotiable after these recent injuries.

I hope Norman's got his cheque book warmed up!!

if rob page is adamant(doesn't look a bit like him)that he's happy with the squad and there wont be any signings then I'm afraid the writings on the wall, most of this shower will do in league 2, well whats left of them after league 1 clubs have done their cherry picking.
