Spoke to a pal of mine today, he seems to think his team, notts county, will be making an approach for pope.

No evidence, Just apparently what the talk is amongst their fans.

Strange that I was on the phone last night to Jim Rodwell Counties CEO he never mentioned Tom once but then fans always in the know

that's the thing about being a fan, always going to be speculation.

I am glad that you have responded like this, if there's anywhere I wouldn't want him scoring goals it's there!

If Tom can get a deal that we can't afford then good luck to him but the club is bigger than any one player & its future has to be safeguarded. I'd be amazed if Notts County were in a position to offer such a deal to Tom especially for a player who is a few weeks off being capable of playing.

In all seriousness, Tom pope is a decent player, but before he came to vale his goal record was rubbish. So i dont quite understand why people don't believe that he could leave for another league one team.

Imo if I was the manager of a championship side, signing pope would be a risk.

What I'm saying is for vale he's been great, for every other team he hasn't.
