I had mixed feelings about Sydney first time was awesome, 2nd and 3rd times were a let down. Melbourne and Brisbane are far better in my opinion. Darwin is stunning but it's more like a big country town and don't go in December the humidity is unbearable. I spent a fair amount of time in Newcastle and the Central Coast some amazing beaches and coastline.

Totally agree about Sydney, I'm going for the fourth time in January and once you get past the initial wow factor of your first visit it's a little average.

Brizzy is phenomenal and a real hub for sport and socialising especially in Fortitude Valley and Southbank / the West End.

Melbourne is truly cosmopolitan and definitely worth a visit with so many differing cultures apparent.

Perth too was fantastic, back there in January and really looking forward to it and whilst you are there you could take a relatively short flight to Broome which is really beautiful.

Whitsundays has some sensational beaches and if you can get on the 'reef sleep' which takes you to the outer part of the Barrier Reef you are in for a real treat.

Fraser Island is well worth a journey if you like camping and 4x4ing.

Byron Bay is definitely worth a visit though it's small and driving around is painfully slow!

Newcastle is a bit more of an industrial city but the beaches are superb, Nobby's being my personal favourite.

Cairns is a bit of a dump but is conveniently located to the Reef.

Tasmania was a little disappointing with even Hobart and Launceston having a relatively small town feel about them.

Haven't been to Adelaide and Darwin yet.

If I was going pick a city to live in it would be Brisbane or Melbourne at the moment not been to Perth or Adelaide yet but I hear adelaide and Cairns are the cheapest places for rent.

Can't quite beat the Outback though Alice Springs is truly a stunning place. Been here nearly a year and although it's extremely isolated the boredom hasn't yet kicked in. The only problem at the moment is only Qantas fly out of here so the city breaks are very expensive. Unless you fancy the 2 day drive to Adelaide or Darwin

While there is no doubt this campaign began with the best of intentions and may have made many in the Muslim community feel supported, it was ultimately a symbolic gesture. However with escalating racial tension we need more than symbolism – what we should be doing is pressing for real, tangible solutions to racism and division.

Osman needs to stop digging: 132 children were slaughtered in Pakistan yesterday - and for what?! It was not symbolism when they were gunned down in their classrooms. It was murder.

I believe he well knows symbolism was not the reason Sydneysiders reached out to the Muslim community to stand 'shoulder to shoulder' and be as one.

Oh and Canberra is very much underrated. I loved the fact you could just wander through Parliament House, sit in the chambers including the senate etc and then of course there is the amazing war memorial in which enthusiasts could probably spend a couple of days looking around.

Oh come on!!! It was a sarcastic dig at me and you know it. A two year old would have known by reading that.

Actually I have received some unpleasant news from home and like I stated... a quiet reflective observation tinged with some sadness...

If it was a dig I would quite happily admitted it.... I have no social niceties.
