Premier League 14/15 (Not just Liverpool talk)

But who would of scored the goals to win them the League?? As Chelsea still had the best defensive record last season..

Any side with Hazard, Ba, Torres, Oscar etc... will score enough goals to win games 1-0. Matic himself has chipped in with a few goals this year. The team that wins the league is normally the one with the best defence, hence why Liverpool will never win anything meaningful under Rodgers.

Nor Arsenal or Man.Utd.

Bit of a silly statement seeing as they came within 10/15 minutes of winning the Premier League last season!

Chelsea are very much looking like title winners, even though City have really picked it up in the last few weeks. United will continue to improve too, they'll be a real force again in the coming seasons as much as it pains me to say it. Vital three points for Liverpool today in a game they could have so easily lost. Markovic is getting better bit by bit and is showing flashes of his quality, and Sterling, despite not shining as much as last season yet, is well on his way to scoring more goals than the previous season.

I think Lee Mason must have had Stoke on his coupon yesterday because he had an absolute shocker.

I also noticed yet again that Ryan Shawcross was in the refs face after every decision. He was doing the same in the Chelsea game too & he seems more interested in hassling the referee than focusing on his own games.

Good to see though that the old dirty Stoke ways are returning. Could have had 3 sent off against Chelsea, should have had at least two. Then another one against Everton. So much for changing their ways!

Utter drivel? You're as bad as Mark Hughes! Walters pulled Baines back when he was clean through on goal, a clear red card offence. The only ones who say otherwise are Stoke fans. No other defender was near enough to stop him. As for the penalty, Bojan cut across the defender to instigate contact, there was no change in the running stance of the defender if you watch.

As for the Chelsea game, yes three. Bardsley should have gone. Adam should have gone for two clear elbows on a Chelsea defender in his chest. You could also make a case for Walters being sent off for his headlock and wrestling slam on Drogba, a bit like Adam against Arsenal.

Just settling down to watch Spurs v Man.Utd but there are some other really tasty games today including Saints v Chelsea and West Ham v Arsenal.Arsenal usually go missing against the more physical sides but they might be good enough to get a draw today.

Down at the bottom,QPR v Palace,Hull v Leicester and Villa v Sunderland are all six pointers.Stoke should get three points against Albion as they usually do and Everton will be desperate to get a result at Newcastle.Home banker of the day as got to be Man.City, who play Burnley at the Etihad.

Brilliant result for Burnley today, them 5 points Man City have lost at home to Stoke and now Burnley could be critical to them come May..

Costa has definitely gone off the boil at Chelsea, but with Man City dropping points its turned out to be a really good result for Chelsea in the end..

Excellent result too for The Gooners..

Yep. Good win for your lot today in a game in which I'd thought you'd come unstuck. For City to be 2-0 up and only get a point out of the game at home to Burnley is criminal. I really don't rate Pellegrini and he's the reason why they won't win any major trophy this season, despite the squad that they have.

You've clearly never played any type of football ever. Red cards for ALL of those offences, laughable.

Walters was very lucky, he should have been sent off. Bardsley's was reckless and he can count himself lucky also. Barry should also thank his lucky stars although you conveniantly don't want to mention both of his challenges.

As for the rest it's a mans game and the physical side should be embraced get a grip man...

A deliberate elbow is a red card. You don't need to play football to know the basic rules of the game. Perhaps that says more about your inability to grasp the basics. It's called violent conduct and referees are taught that elbows are a red card offence. That is what Adam clearly did, twice. That's not part of the game. You can be physical without being violent, unless you're called Charlie Adam of course.
