Premier League 14/15 (Not just Liverpool talk)

Not concerned myself. It was a good performance on the whole and to rescue a point from the game so late on almost feels like a win. Of course, nobody will give Liverpool any credit and will instead insist that Arsenal were just woeful on the day and that even Vale would have beaten them...

Borini wanted Xmas off then?

Last season you would of won that game quite easily, with which you did 5-1. I think this season the gulf between Liverpool and Arsenal is back to how it use to be. Yes you dominated most of the game, but not once did I feel Arsenal would lose that game. Liverpool cant play any better than they did today and yet they failed to win, as Arsenal were woeful, but still managed to get a point away from home against a team that came within a whisker of winning the premier League last season..

Of course you would. But in reality the only real difference between the two teams is Alexis Sanchez. Both sides are poor at the back and lack in the middle of the park. Put Sturridge back into the Liverpool side and there's little between the two teams.

Arsenal are a million miles away from challenging for the title just as Liverpool now are. The worry for you is that everyone else can see the weakness in your side that have now been there for years but old man Wenger either can't or is just to stubborn to admit to those weaknesses.

You won't be winning the EPL or the Champions League until he's finally left, retired or removed.

So you're saying that Arsenal turned up and could only be half-arsed?

I would say that Arsenal's performance yesterday was on par with the one at the Brit.a few weeks ago and Mertesacker made the same pathetic effort to stop the cross that led to Skrtel's goal has he did with Walters goal.

He's probably got more chance than you with Rodgers in charge ;)

Chambers was also equally culpable. How much did they pay for him!!

Both sides are truly dreadful defensively :(

Of course we would, did you see how good we were against Crawley. Willo would have skinned that donkey Skrtel like a banana and Owd will tell you Dodds would have had 5/6 against them ;)

Sturridge is the only player you have out injured. Arsenal have Kos, Rambo, Wilshere, Theo, Arteta and Ozil..So considering you couldn't beat an understrength Arsenal side is pretty god damn poor from a Liverpool perspective..

And to say Arsenal are a million miles from winning the Premier league is just daft..

As for Wenger, yes he's the most stubborn manager around, especially when the money is there to spend. But you think the players that have left, Nasri, Fab, RVP, Henry..but season after season he still manages to finish in Champ League spot.. Liverpool lose 1 main player and they're struggling stay in top 10..Say no more really..

And along with Sterling he just happens to be our best player. Without Sanchez, Arsenal would be a lesser team. From the players you mentioned only Theo makes a difference, perhaps Ramsey because he's got a knack for scoring these days. I'd have preferred it had Arteta and Ozil been fit to play, as the former is well past it and was never very good in the first place and the latter is a passenger for the vast majority of the time. At this moment in time you would have to consider him every bit as poor a signing as Balotelli considering his cost and the reputation he came with. After a decent first few games he's done very little, and often looks like he'd rather be elsewhere to me though that could well just be his demeanour.

Finishing in the top 4 and actually having a possibility to win the league are like chalk and cheese. After spending close to 80 million on 2 players alone you would think Arsenal would be right in the mix, but they are nowhere near. The fact that Mertasacker, Monreal, Flamini and Arteta regularly get a game for your lot... Say no more really.

Both teams are now a million miles behind Chelsea and Man City.
