Williamson and Dodds played exceptional against Crawley, no praise though? Just more criticism :-/

 

Do you ever give it a rest? I didn't go the game but my mate did and said Williamson was better than usual but still missed loads of chances. Dodds had a very good game but that's probably dodds done for another 6/7 matches. How you can say they played exceptional without going the match is ridiculous just as you consistently say Williamson is a good player without going to watch him.

He comes into the first team now, gets two or three goals between now and the Gillingham game, and other clubs start sniffing round. Get him signed up first thing on New Years Day, make sure hes ours, then let him loose.

 

He won't sign unless he gets first team football, I can see it now, we don't play him Bristol or Doncaster sign him and he bags double figures before the end of the season whilst we have Ben Williamson who adds another 3 goals in total to his tally.

Perhaps its been explained to him why hes not playing. Judging by his interview in the week, it seems to be the case.

He is still very much an unknown though, might be a gem like Clint Dempsey but not that many players who have been involved in US soccer have really made it over here.

 

Apart from Tim Howard, Landon Donavan, Roy Wegerle, Brad Friedel, Kasey Keller, Brian Mcbride, Marcus Haneman, Jay Demerit, Carlos Bocanegra....

I honestly can't understand why we signed Campion if he isn't even going to get a run out, especially with Popey being injured. The last 15 minutes of the Coventry game was the obvious time to see if he'd got anything at first team level.

 

I could well be wrong but it looks like Page doesn't think he's up to much and I've got a feeling he'll get snapped up by someone willing to take a chance on him in January after we've paid him to get fit for a few months.No doubt if that happens he'll turn out to be the next Ibrahimovich. If we do sign him he'll be the next Ville Viljanen!!

I don't consistently say that Williamson is a good player... I just think the stick he gets is unfair. From what I heard he didn't have that many chances Saturday so how can he miss loads

That's part of the problem with Willo though. He doesn't seem a massively intelligent footballer and doesn't get into the right places. Far too often he'll come too deep or too wide, a bit headless if you will. The best strikers have an instinct where to be to get goals and he doesn't have it.
