How many of those demanding his inclusion have actually seen him play? In all fairness scoring in reserve matches whilst eye catching to us does not mean he is good enough for league 1 football.

 

There were similar calls for the lad who went to Person to play instead of Pope and how misguided was that?

Hugill proved he could score goals though when he was given a chance so that doesn't make sense? He chose to leave and has been injured most of the season. Whilst he wasn't as good as Pope perhaps he did a good job for us.

 

Campion is a complete different situation as 1 Pope is injured, 2 he isn't our player permanently so why have him if u aren't gonna play him and 3 the strikers we have in the team currently are being outscored by a 38 yr old midfielder

At 0-2 Campion could've got a good thirty minutes of first team football. Why on earth didn't Page take the opportunity.

He deserves a chance and as you say at 0-2 he should have had half an hour or so today.

Williamson and Dodds played exceptional against Crawley, no praise though? Just more criticism :-/

Difficult call, if we play him while he is still on loan, someone else might steal him from us, Doncaster are already interested apparently. If we don't play him he might leave anyway...

I think the most logical way of looking at it is if we're paying him we might as well play him

I can't recall Williamson being so prolific in the reserves.

He comes into the first team now, gets two or three goals between now and the Gillingham game, and other clubs start sniffing round. Get him signed up first thing on New Years Day, make sure hes ours, then let him loose.
