Happy with that, I think he deserves the chance at least to the end of the season. I knock Smurf for a lot of things, but I think he's handled this really well. Taken his time, not rushed into anything and seen how performances and results have changed. Since he was appointed caretaker I think Page has deserved the appointment. I'm glad it's until the end of the season too, not too long so that Page becomes complacent, he's got a massive job ahead of him and needs to stay focused.

 

Let's just say this appointment from caretaker manager to manager is hardly stirring the same feelings as it did when we appointed Glover. I feel a lot more optimistic.
