What a lying s**t!. He was either telling lies to MA or is being untruthful now. Either way he has gone and we have a better replacement in OConnor so thanks for saying good bye Lofty

You've got to he really blinkered by your support for your club to believe all that he's saying. He lives in the area as does his wife, and he used to support the club as a boy, but I only came to filling ham because eh have the most ambition out of any club. I realise he needs to say good things about his new employer, but that just reads as cringeworthy. But as has been said, we now have a midfield 10 times more quality as last year. So who cares.

Too early to say if ex-players will be missed.

I agree. Things change in football in an instant. Look at Crwho yesterday. Beat Barnsley on Tuesday and 1-0 up at home at H/T. Within 45 mins they lose 2-1 and are near the bottom with no points. Let's see what everyone is doing after about 20 games.

What a sour bunch we are.

JMW was superb in our promotion season, a real game changer. He had a decent first season at the higher level but I think our time had come to a natural end and he moved on. I never thought he was the kind of person/player to stay anywhere for too long anyway.

Hugill has probably made the wrong decision in the long term but you can hardly blame him for having his head turned. PNE are a bigger club, with a better ground and more fans. He's not a Vale supporter so being offered 75k/year compared to 30k/year to move to a bigger club was too good to turn down.

Loft stayed with us despite pressure from his wife to move back South. He had a tremendous season last year and carried us over the line on many occasions with his hustle and bustle, only to be attacked by a teammate in training. I don't think he was ever going to stay at the club after that incident. Good luck to him.

Tomlin - who cares? Don't think he ever settled in at the club or the area, so we should be extremely thankful Crawley decided to include him in their mass recruitment this summer.

We've moved on, we're better for it.

Great post. Agree with all of that.

I don't blame Loft for leaving. He wanted a move closer to where he grew up and got it. I'm ignoring his comment about ambition because that's just the usual play to the crowd speech. He deserves a good reception when he comes back.

Hugill got greedy and went for the money. I don't blame Davis for going as he's gone to a PL club. Thought he should tell his Dad focus on his own failings as a manager instead of being an **** and sticking his nose in our business.
