I should have posted this before now but temporarily forgot.

I thought I’d pass this on as I live in Wem in Shropshire:

 

A big thank you from Rich and Dee at The Castle Hotel in Wem where we had 3 coach loads of Vale fans before the Shrewsbury game last season. Apart from the two days where Wem actually comes alive in the year(carnival and sweet pea weekend) it was one of their biggest takes on the bar in the year(the pub got so full the one across the road benefitted a bit too!). They were a bit concerned about having football fans in before I reassured them that Vale fans weren’t so bad, and our fans have had some bad press in the past but everything went fine. You’d all be welcome again should we play Shrewsbury in the future.

 

I also play darts for the Castle where we have quite an active team so if there are any pubs/clubs around Burslem/North staffs who’d like a friendly we’d be willing to come over at some point!(most of the teams in our league have said they take the most on the bar when we turn up!!) Anyway PM me if anyone’s interested.
