Proxy Envelopes Delivered

NLVMalc

Recommended Posts

I can confirm that all the proxy envelopes returned to NLV were delivered to the club before the 1030 deadline.

Bill Lodey walked through the procedures for opening the proxy envelopes and the counting the votes. Also, the arrangements for signing in and voting have been well thought out with 4 polling booths. This will help speed up procedures but it is still likely to a significant amount of time.

I reiterated our desire for one polling, the club want two, the second poll being the voting off of the directors. Two makes no sense as it will slow down procedure.

I smell a legal challenge... If the first wins (say) 70% of the vote, then the board could try to argue that the second vote is null and void

as we would be left in a situation prohibited by the articles of association.

Despicable if they do, fingers crossed though for a successful outcome on Wednesday.

All numbered on the back across the seal and bundled together.

257 NLV

330 ish delivered to the club.

I would anticipate that nearly 100% of the one's from us will be in favour of change and the ones delivered to the club to be split 50/50.

I have also agreed with Bill that we monitor one in ten envelopes, looking at how they delivered, e.g. post or hand-delivered, type of envelope, sealed or not, and how they voted. This will allow for a comprehensive post validation process if considered necessary by either NVL or the club.
