Will cheeky get his 5k from weareskint

Recommended Posts

We paid £6k for a wedding package at Crewe Hall 3 years ago. Crewe Hall is a far better venue for weddings than Vale Park.

Anyone that thinks Vale could charge 10k for a wedding package is off their rocker. They would get 0 sales at that price.

is 5hite

I called it pages ago.

I actually think it's dodgy as **** that the admins are seemingly happy for bets to be struck on this website. Even dodgier that plenty of people on this thread are defending the idea that all your posts are legally binding.

Whatever happened to a bit of fun? I think it depends if the person at the butt of all the jokes is in the magic circle or not.

You need to re-read your carbolic smoke balls fella.

Ahhh...carlill v Carbolic Smoke Ball company....although Cheeky is the offeree not the offeror..

It's a rather pointless thread in reality but quite hilarious!!

I'm not sure I do! The contract was formed because they set out the terms of the contract in the advert, the purchaser accepted their offer

Yeah but they set out every term clearly, they even had a bank account with the money in ready to pay out. That is why the contract was formed with an unnamed party.

Call me crazy but I think the stake is a pretty big omission in a supposed offer.

This would fall down at every single step of the law of contract. I'm not quite sure why your so obsessed with it being legally binding?

See tisdeano's answer above!

Back to the debate, he set odds the stake is irrelevant!

The fact that this whole debate is just continuing for the pure comedic value and that in reality both the offer and acceptance are a joke doesn't change the fact of who is the offeree and offeror in this scenario.
