Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater – a message for Dave Felstead

As a point of information: Robbie HAD 24.9% at the time he bought shares. Now he has 21% ish. Mo will have (hopefully) 51% AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE. As more shares are sold (I will buy some more, as others too I believe) then that gets diluted mathematically. If he keeps topping up to maintain 51% we have a virtuous circle.

Just a thought.

I'll be purchasing shares too

I didnt bother last time but having seen what has gone over recent years I intend being at every AGM/EGM going from now on

Mark Simms said he would buy shares once Mo got in and i think Phil Taylor also said he would.

I have no problem with Mo having 51% of the shares as long as he puts a few safeguards in to protect the club, which he has promised to do so

Also, as you say, I can see a lot of hi-profile people buying shares, I can also see at lot more fans dipping in to their savings to buy a few.

Mo's initial purchase could quite easily be diluted

I was going to buy another load of shares before xmas then held fire while everything seemed to implode.

IF we have a new owner(s) come wednesday then I shall purchase the shares I would have done before xmas.

I damn well expect so. Both can easily chuck 10K at the Vale and be directors as far as I am concerned. Mark has given over 250K in sponsorship and even though others have their views I believe Taylor (ex neighbour ish) to be 100% Vale but tight (!)

The ethos of V2001 is just like the purest form of socialism.

A utopia. One that in practice is corrupted all too easily by the personal ambitions of men.

I see the future as a combination of a wealthy investor and fan ownership. Mo has the financial clout and acumen and the contacts the club requires. The fans still have the opportunity to continue buying shares - something I would certainly be up for doing.

What V2001 has shown is that the utopia is a house built on sand. It will do the job for a period, but ultimately it will come crashing down on itself.

Sorry to to go Off Topic, but when I saw the 'sand' Blackpool came to mind

Total available share capital is £5m of which app £1.2m is already owned. When Mo makes his first payment, that will rise to c£2.4m. I am now most interested in what restrictions, if any, will be put on other individuals wishing to buy shares/increase their holding. eg. If I buy £100 of shares and another 100 people do the same, Mo would have to match that to keep his 51%.

If no such restrictions are made, then I can see a large cash injection into the Club in a short space of time.

Having said all that, I'm quite happy to let the dust settle for a week or two before I start to pursue the matter:)

Simon, you make good points re investment, and I for one will be buying a couple of more shares to celebrate the occasion

Personally i think the 24.9% rule is unworkable and can't believe peiople get so hung up about it$ what many have missed is the propsed Ameriturf investment will give the board and Ameriturf acting in concert circa 55%. What is the difference of this scenario and Mo owning 51%?
