Slightly off topic but does anyone remember when Hull had an injury crisis and they had to play their keeper Alan Fetish against Crewe?

 

He scored and they won 7-1 I think.

I have to look on Soccerbase to check the dates but I remember the game well, Grew did his knee in and was out for most of the season and we lost Alan Webb for part of the game too while he had stitches in a bad head wound but he returned the hero with a bandage on and covered in blood.:)

 

Webby went off for stitches in a gashed calf, his white sock turned red. Rudgey bought him back on as a nuisance attacker just to ensure that they kept a bloke back. The game ended 1-1.

Was it really a leg wound? I definitely have an image of Webby wearing a head bandage, maybe that was some other game and I've got the two mixed up, unless he wore his sock around his head..:unsure::D
