We conner defend properly so this is my starting xl ,whether its a good formation is down to whether the players r brave enough make it work.

Neal

Grimmer Duffy Dickinson

Birchall Knott

Tomlin Loft Jmw

Williamson Pope

Lots of attacking intent there and so there should be .

I for one, think Tomlin is good enough, hopefully he proves it sat .

Its a go for it formation ,these players r,good, enough .

Are Tomlin and JMW wing backs?? Or are you going to have no one covering the wings/ wide midfield at all. I don't know which possibility is craziest!

Birchall instead of Griff, and that's what I'd go with.

Totally agree. With a whistle/card happy ref, then Griff would only last at the most 50 minutes and he would be sent off.

Three points needed to kick start the rest of the season.

People have been saying that for ages, yet he's only ever been sent off for Vale once, and that was an appalling handball decision.

Good point FF,one flaw in that though.Griff is an extremely limited player but the one thing he doesn't lack is aggression. He gets booked the aggression goes, then he may as well come sit in the stand.

Referee for Saturday's game is Richard Clark. In 2013/14 season he has so far been in charge for 26 games. He's given 80 yellow cards and 9 red cards during that time.

We could be in for a whistle happy ref!!

So Pope must keep his mouth shut and Griff (if playing) watch his step, or should say fierce tackles.

As others have said, we MUST get three points today.

Anything else, and we could be looking at less than an eight-point gap between ourselves and the bottom four with less than ten matches remaining.

If the players got their ***** into gear we could finish 7th in the table, easily.
