Embarrassment.

Both sets were to blame. I got all sorts land on me at entrance 7. I assume it was spit, it's totally unacceptable and a poor lay out to have away fans below home fans. Forest do the same and the same reports of it happening there.

Wolves fans seemed to have a large share of morons. Even in the boxes behind us there was a woman with a child kicking off and Some of our fans were happy to oblige in a war of words and battering the box window with booze.

I had looked forward to Molyneux since the end of last season when the relegation of Wolves was confirmed but both games against Wolves have been more hassle than they are worth, today was a shambles of a set up, the policing at Vale was a shambles.

Also it was clear the majority of Wolves moronic support was in the stand to the left... So they marched Vale fans out towards the left which considering I parked the car in a solicitors behind the stand opposite left me and mrs walking straight through their fans which was totally un policed.

Nuts! Thank f*** they will be out the division and we can at least go decent welcoming places like Charlton instead if we managed to scag a couple of wins before the end of the season.

I no the full story, I was there...

Even before the game started certain ****s were being abusive and threatening wolves fans above them, just because of how they looked. Vale fans started everything. I was in te far right and saw no vale fan spot on, I saw vale fans spitting at those in the boxes behind glass.

If you were as close as you claim to have been you'd have seen the Wolves fans who were spitting so you can't have been. There were at least a dozen people, myself included, that could have picked the Wolves fan out who spat. Even two stewards in our stand saw it and told their boss to tell the people upstairs to find the person responsible. I heard the comversation first hand.

So I'm sorry but you're talking utter crap.

Excuse me?! I can put a ****ing photo of my ticket on to prove where I was sitting if that makes you feel any better. I was trying to concentrate on the match rather than watching the trouble. You know what I paid to do. Fair enough if you heard or saw that I didnt but that dosent mean I wasn't there when I was. I'm not talking utter crap I am describing what I saw. Out of interest did you see the guys smashing the seats up because that happened to the right of the stand. Or am I talking utter crap there as well?

I was there. Both sets of fans were to blame. You can't have a fight on your own can you?! I was hit on the head by a coin from the upper Wolves tier (I had a woolly hat on so luckily no damage was done). But I also witnessed Vale fans throwing coins at two Wolves fans who were constantly mouthing off and "giving it the big 'un" to the Vale fans down below. I also saw the Wolves fans spitting on us from above (I just thought it had started raining until I looked up and saw them!)

One thing I was AMAZED about, especially with what happened in the first game, was the absolute shambles from the police in regards to some sort of strategy to keep the peace. Why couldn't they have kept the Vale fans behind after the final whistle for 20-30mins, then dispersed of the Wolves fans, then escorted all Vale fans to the station?

I walked out of the ground with my mate and after about 5 minutes, our pathway had crossed all of the Wolves fans leaving the stadium! It was just asking for trouble! No sort of segregation at all! There were Vale AND Wolves "fans" trying to start trouble all over the place! Then the police were being reactive to it, rather than being proactive and preventing it happening in the first place.

Embarrassing from Vale/Wolves and the police.

Something happened as I was making my way back to the coach. Something kicked off and loads of fans ran across the road not sure what exactly happened though.

See from my view the wolves fans did nothing, it was vale fans turning round and kicking of for no reason.

Whoa - totally wrong here, don't know where you were sitting but Wolves started it all about 20 mins into 2nd half. Spitting, throwing coins, plastic bottles and drinks. Vale fans told stewards time and time again and stewards did nothing as smiling mocking dingles looked down laughing. Come on, the place is renowed for it, they do it week in and week out and get away with it, i am pleased and proud that vale fans did not simply sit there being spat on and instead gave them some back!!!

I know they did it as well what I'm saying is vale fans started it. The fans around me from the 1st minute weren't even watching the game they were turned round just abusing them. If they spat first as you say then it's disgusting but vale fans behavious was also embarrassing. (The majority of the fans were great as usual)

Well Vale didn't start it where i was JL4 - they did.

Just don't think you should be so quick to knock our following, i know what you mean but we went Wolves today, a notoriously horrible place to go I thought the Vale following today was a credit to us all overall

Whoever authorised the safety certificate to allow away fans to be infront of the home fans wants sectioning if they can't see the problems that are going to be caused by this set up. We tried to leave five minutes before the end because you could it was kicking off with the stuff being thrown down on us, an older woman was hit by a coin just in front of us. Any way we got to the exit to be met by a load of wolves fans trying to get in followed by a load of baton wielding coppers and ended up with 2 of us outside(1 hit by a baton) and 2 locked back in the ground. Finally they shifted the wolves fans on and we managed to get out, and follow the police route out which then brought us back towards the wolves fans!! Will never be going there again or anywhere else away if you end up sitting infront of the home fans.

Why do Vale fans have to make excuses every time something kicks off?

We've blamed, the police, Wolves fans, police dogs. People will be blaming Myrie-Williams for it next.

Dress it up how you want. Port Vale have an above-average proportion of idiots in its fanbase. These people travel in numbers to away games, get ****** up and look for trouble.

What about the smoke bomb (or whatever you call it)? Was that the Wolves fans? Were they winding us up to the extent where pyrotechnics were the only form of retaliation? The fighting with stewards?

People need to realise that it is not the Police, or the Wolves fans, or the dogs. It's moronic Vale fans who need to be dealt with.

This, completely. When they scored the second goal I was rained on with beer. I turned around and was hit with coins and food. I have a video on my phone of one guy throwing coins. Offered to show it to the stewards and identify the :censored: but I was told to write an official complaint email.
