The substitutions were spot on. Davis had to go or be sent off, Hugill was not in the game and Grimmer was injured and that was the obvious substitution. Knott should start next match. All the keyboard warriors will come out after today's result, same old same old.

He may not have been sent off thought, Adams said on the radio it was difficult for him because of his dad, well if thats the case he shouldnt have started the match. Hughill wasnt in the game, but neither was pope until that point. Its very harsh to sub a young striker after 30 mins when he hasnt had a chance at goal.

Clueless, crap team selection, crap subs and constantly falling out with players. Is it time for him to go? At the end of the season I will be more than happy if he leaves, he isnt going to develop the side, its the same old route 1 **** from his first spell. Absolute clown.

 

Another clueless and fickle vale fan.

Perhaps yes. I didn't go Bradford but after seeing Hugill at Shrewsbury I wouldn't have started him today anyway.

We've just been promoted after exiting administration, or had you forgotten?

 

It's all about obtaining our safety first and foremost this season, build the foundations for a solid league one team....which we have.

 

It's gone better than anyone could of expected.

 

Yes MA has his downsides, his tactical knowledge does not seem too deep and some of his stubbornness has cost us good players and games.

 

But at the end of the day he got us promoted, has build a decent squad and with the money (or lack of) that we have available he cannot do much better.

I actually think that MA has a major issue, as he doesn't seem to be able to motivate a team post Christmas. Every season he has been here we have struggled once the new year has come, even last year with promotion, it was the points in the first half of the season that got us there and then we only just got over the line. Is it tactical knowledge or is it lack of desire? Something certainly is missing at the moment and to me just looks like someone running his contract down and I really hope to be proved wrong!

Agreed totally. Maybe he should have started with Tomlin and / or JMW but they hardly set the world on fire when they did come on.

 

His problem is he is too loyal to players, people like Dodds, Taylor, Yates and sadly Griff all need to move on.

 

Oh and the opening poster mentioned he had fallen out with players, who?
