*URGENT* help needed

If someone living over 100 miles away tried to influence a local planning issue where I live, whilst not being aware of any of the other issues involved, I'd be well p@@@d off, so no signature from me, but good luck in using legitimate arguments to persuade the local population.

Appreciate your points but I would say that the National Heritage objection should be countered by as many people as possible nation wide. Sort of self explanatory why.

On 5th December 2013 Brentford Football Club took a big step towards securing planning permission for a new stadium for Brentford Football Club in Brentford. As a club that has a massively positive impact on the community, it is important we can sustain ourselves and this is not possible at Griffin Park.

On Friday January 17th the planning application approved by Hounslow Borough Council was passed to the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson who has to decide whether to approve or reject the application. Once again opponents to our development are waging a misinformation campaign in some local neighbourhoods, and writing letters to the Mayor demanding he direct Hounslow Council to refuse our application.

As a fellow club not to dissimilar to ourselves in many respect, we ask for your urgent help which is simple and easy to provide.

Hopefully Brentford fans can return the favour similarly to Port Vale one day.

Signed,good luck.

I do feel it's a pity that Griffin Park just isn't sustainable now as it's one of my favourite grounds. A 'proper' football grounds. Love it but I've signed anyway. Good luck :)

I agree, sad that the old girls got to go. Word is that the new ground will have a proper atmosphere too though, not like the indetikit bowl arenas you get these days.

Thank you for signing, it's appreciated, good luck for the season!

Two questions for you. How is a huge wedge of cash being hoyed in by your benefactor listed on the accounts as turnover so that you aren't breaking the FFP rules? When you move grounds, will you still be under the jurisdiction of the same inconsiderate Plod who made a number of very elderly Vale fans walk a fair distance to the ground rather than letting the Supporters Club bus drop them off before parking?

Well I do mean sustaining because if we don't move we will fall into the conference and have heavy and increasing debt. We almost went bust in 2006 and without moving we almost certainly will go bust.

Absolute nonsense!

Let`s take stock here a minute.

You`re mega-rich owner owns your ground which is plenty big enough for you, at present and any likely time in the future. It`s worth millions more than ours, which we don`t even own.

Yet you come cap in hand asking us to sign a petition to enable you to move into a shiny new ground, built by your sponsors St George no doubt, so that you can hope to achieve your ambition for regular solid Championship football on a consistent basis.

You said before we are similar sized clubs in many regards and I agree there.

Do you honestly think selling your soul and moving to nearer Kew Bridge will gain any new numbers on the gate? Brentford have their hardcore of supporters, most around here follow Chelsea or any other sterile Premier club and those that follow QPR and Fulham won`t change their minds.

We are struggling to keep our development squad cos it costs £300k a year and may have to go, if we are able to afford to keep our Manager on.

Griffin Park is where you belong and where your heart and pulse should be, you will never attract less than 4,000 when times are bad, nor more than 8,000 when they`re better.

Good luck for the future and I hope it`s sustained at Griffin Park

I am very sympathetic but what misinformation? What is being said that is not true?
