*URGENT* help needed

Recommended Posts

On 5th December 2013 Brentford Football Club took a big step towards securing planning permission for a new stadium for Brentford Football Club in Brentford. As a club that has a massively positive impact on the community, it is important we can sustain ourselves and this is not possible at Griffin Park.

On Friday January 17th the planning application approved by Hounslow Borough Council was passed to the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson who has to decide whether to approve or reject the application. Once again opponents to our development are waging a misinformation campaign in some local neighbourhoods, and writing letters to the Mayor demanding he direct Hounslow Council to refuse our application.

As a fellow club not to dissimilar to ourselves in many respect, we ask for your urgent help which is simple and easy to provide.

Simply sign this petitions https://www.change.org/petitions/the-mayor-of-london-we-call-on-the-mayor-and-secretary-of-state-to-support-the-approval-given-by-hounslow-council-for-the-lionel-road-south-scheme-ref-p-2013-1811?share_id=mPKxjwxkza&utm_campaign=mailto_link&utm_medium=email&utm_source=share_petition

Hopefully Brentford fans can return the favour similarly to Port Vale one day.

I like Griffin Park as it is, why do you think you can`t sustain yourselves there?

Good luck convincing Boris, that **** would shut our airport down if he had his way!

Kind regards

paultvale

Hounslow Council taxpayer.

We have a benefactor, Matthew Benham, a wealthy fan, covering losses of £5m a year, plus supplying a healthy wage budget, and spending large amount on training facilities, youth set up, backroom staff etc.

Problem is, Griffin Park provides no non match-day revenue, and simply put is falling to pieces, our aim to be a Championship club cannot be sustained without the move, and our status as a league club with financial security will be in sincere jeopardy.

Love Griffin Park, amazing atmosphere, terracing, proper ground. But sadly we need to move.
