Apparently there was Racist Chanting in the Boothern End today. I wonder if that idiot Garth Crooks will call for it to be closed? We can all live in hope I suppose..!

Crooks' comments were stupid.

 

People at the ground correctly reported the racist chanting and what do they get? Someone who takes it up with the local MP and suggests the FA close down the part of the ground! So where is the incentive to report such matters if people react like this? It's like shooting yourself in the foot.

I agree with that actually. The vale fans should have been praised for reporting it, because the ones that did report it would have been in the same stand, and so would lose their seat too if the stand was closed.

I heard racist chanting in the Lorne Street during the Rotherham match when their lad was sent off and at first refused to walk.

 

Did I report it? No, as the inevitable result would have been the proverbial sledgehammer to crack a nut. What did I do about it? Told the perpetrators to shut the **** up. Maybe if one or two more had done similar at Stoke we wouldn't be talking about it now.

But he didn't suggest the RP was closed on the basis of the chanting. He suggested the RP be closed if it happened again and the club took no action as was the case in the in the first instance.
