I'm loving this season too. I've seen every minute of it so far and it's been a joy to watch. I'm a very proud Vale fan tonight.

exactly, so when vale are doing well, why not congratulate it?

also you asked before if i would say the same if we hadnt won in the next 16 games...obviously not, they wouldnt be doing well so why would i congratulate that?but at the end of the season, we finish 5th from bottom, then yes i would be congratulating them on a successful season.

Indeed, so wasn't Twiggy providing balance by being positive when things are going well?

If not then, for the sake of balance and perspective, no-one should complain when we are doing poorly if congratulating success isn't allowed. What shall we all talk about? Eastenders?

i for one think we can stay in contention with the top six and then pinch a top six finish to cement a play off place

 

whether it would be one step to far this season remains to be seen .. but lets be ambitious

 

its also nice to have a season without any turmoil lurking around the club like we all know we've had over the last few seasons Go On Vale ..

Five wins from six in the league, with only the nightmare at Swindon sandwiched in the middle and we're in round 2 of the cup. That's pretty sound if you ask me given the jump in standard from last season. I'd rather be in our position that Crewe's (or Stoke's for that matter).

You could say that at any time. We could lose every game for the rest of the season, but what's the logic behind highlighting that possible negativity when in the real world we are doing well?

 

If anything congratulating the team for doing really well shows much more perspective as, well ... they are doing really well. Reacting to something which happens with an appropriate response shows more perspective than pointing out obvious doom-mongering possibilities which haven't even happened.
