valiant player not working

Has anyone got anywhere when complaining so far this season with these people? Sadly this isn't a one off !

 

I did but you have to be persistent and push it (i.e. if they don't reply send another email). I sent five emails and eventually got an extra month free added to my subscription.

 

However, in this case I suspect it is either a problem at the Crewe ground or someone at BBC Radio Stoke. When I did match summary many moons ago, there had to be a "switch flicked" in the studio to put the commentary onto Valiant Player. I suspect either the phone line isn't working or someone forget to switch it on.

 

UPDATE: VALE COMMENTARY NOW WORKING.

 

I had two browsers open (the Crewe commentary and the Vale commentary) and the Vale commentary just started with an "ISDN line connected" msg which tends to back up my theories above (either a line fault or an error from Radio Stoke) meant it wasn't connected in some way earlier.

Sounds plausable, I'm sure Valiant Player didn't work for the whole of the exact same match two years ago. Whatever the problem, faults keep occurring week after week, it can't be rocket science to get this sorted.

 

I'm pleased just to have access and be able to listen to the commentary/watch the highlights but the issues appear to be occurring more frequently, you never know whether its going to work or not. It's frustrating 'cause there doesn't appear an alternative. I'm going to investigate Mixr or whatever it is.

I witnessed that a while back in a game where Radio Stoke denied responsibility.

I also got an extra month extension, but I would sooner pay more and have it working 100%. That is all I want. As I spend a lot of the season in Florida, I have to rely on Valiant Player for my Vale fix and it is very frustrating when I lose reception, plus when I am listening, it is so far far behind the actual game that I generally read on OVF that there has been a goal scored first. Why can't it be in real time in the 21st Century?

I seriously believe that in the UK we have some serious issues with our mobile/internet technology that really should not be happening in our so called modern western world.

 

3G not too bad

4G ha ha wot ??

 

It's a bit crap when I sign up for Valliant player & I'm greeted with silence.

 

So I go back to a free MIXLR broadcast to get the commentary & it WORKS

I have had a tennis match of emails with the company, they say that they know they had a problem today, they are trying to make sure that it doesn't happen again, however, these are the first problems they have had.

 

Time to fight to get my subscription back, and start listening on these free sites - proper waste of money !

Ray, I know what you mean. Here in Texas I used to have that problem, but since I changed to a new iMac and complained to Verizon about the wireless network, I seem to be closer to real time now.
