As long as we don't re-sign Luke '2 penalties' Rodgers we shouldn't have another Chasetown.

If this isn't televised then we will never get a televised cup tie. Most romantic cup run for a tiny club ever probably - look where they are in their league (about 18th).

If we could score an early goal, a record score could be on the cards - but that is dangerous talk to those of us old enough to remember Chasetown, Canvey Island, a Scarboro or 2 or 3, and even Enfield (sob).

I felt sure we would have a tricky and not very interesting tie at Aldershot, but this is going to get a lot of coverage and tickets will be like gold dust if it stays at that tiny ground. Wonder if they are allowed to / would want to switch it to Vale Park ?

They wouldn't be allowed to switch it to Vale. If police refuse to let them play at home, it'll be switched to FGR i'd imagine.

Looking at Google maps it'll be interesting getting up there but the good news is that there's a beer festival on, the bad news is that Oliver looks like he's taken up residence there.

That would be quite creepy as I had a thought before the games last Saturday along the lines of 'maybe we will go back to Forest Green again' then dismissed it when I saw Forest Green lost their 4th qualifying round match.

But if we do go there to play Shortwood, it would be quite a weird coincidence.

It's quite exciting to watch this develop, will it be televised? will it be played at Shortwood ? will the Shortwood players - who include 2 postmen, a Muslim cleric, an ex-heart surgeon, a tree surgeon, a cross dressing Bristol City loanee, a cousin of Harry Redknapp's tax advisor, a rent boy, George Galloway's cat sitter, a previous finalist in the x-factor and the illegitimate love child of Tiny Pulis (allegedly) - rise to the occasion ?
