They wouldn't have been 'invited' anyway.

I mean, why would they register on Tranmere's radar?

I would think that the Chairmen/Directors of all League clubs would have dealings with each other over the years whether it be league/cup games or meetings held at the FA or Football League.

Bratt will know or know of the Tranmere Chairman.

What get me is that if it's no coincidence that they were guests if tranmere whilst playing vale. And it's as though, although not officially, there were in a way representing the club. I'm a vale fan and didn't get an invite.

Just maybe someone got them tickets/passes from Vale?( Not Smurf)

I don't think it's worth worrying about. If I was Bill Bratt, I'd look at our higher division status, the growing crowds, the commercial turnover increase, the infrastructure changes etc etc and realise that this is how the club should be run.

I'd also realise that to run a football club, you need some disposal, liquid money- not an ever increasing list of debts

I could understand Bratt and co contacting them but not Tranmere 'inviting' them of their own accord.

They could perhaps have been guests of Tranmere's chairman/directors. Say when they used to attend as Vale directors they got on well with their equivalent at Tranmere and were invited back. I can't stand the scrotes but if someone offered me a free meal and a game of football I'd probably take them up on it. Obviously whether I'd screwed one of said football clubs over in the past might come into it but I have morals, some of the Burslem 6 evidently don't but I'm just looking at it from their point of view!

On another note on Saturday when I got to Tranmere I assume it was one of their directors/chairman shook my hand as I walked across the car park to the ticket office. Basically thanked me for coming to Tranmere and for my support even though I was a Vale fan which was nice.

Says that they were guests of Tranmere

Until I could see any reasoning why some randoms would be 'invited' it's just an article perhaps based on assumptions.

Do they have a department at football clubs who call around any old has-been connected to the club they are playing and ask them to come along on a freebie?

If Bratt had schmoozed with their Chairman before and called asking if they could come along because they would get lynched in the supporters end it would kind of make sense.
