Wouldn't let me download to iTunes on me Macbook, says I need the latest version (11.0.5) which I do have!

 

It's decided to get its act together and recognise on the phone that iOS7 is available, it's currently telling me it's gonna take 16 minutes. How exciting.

 

What a bunch of nerds. I wasn't going to bother for a few days, then I decided to back my phone up for the first time in a while, and here I am.

I'm not sure how you make an app go wobbly and close it down when you've finished with it.

 

Double tap the home button like you used to, and then swipe the screenshots of the open apps up and off the screen.

 

You can also limit the apps that are using your data when you're on the go. It's all getting a bit clever.

 

Oh, and it turns out there is a newer iTunes! Had to go and find it online meself, though.

Settings > General > Background App Refresh

 

Turn this off and, much as the name suggests, it stops apps from refreshing themselves in the background.
