OY... Got nowt against x players,as long as they pay to get in,they got paid to do a job , end ov.. I don't agree with all these freebie tickets given out to adults including x managers x players,don't mind kids getting them as long as they ain't for the Bycars,shove em in the paddock with the big kids

They arent free.... kids are... but ex players arent.

The hospitality at Vale isnt good... they add a little something special... cheap champagne and carton orange juice just doesnt cut it... the food was rubbish... and the half time pies were cack... ad the atmosphere when dining [second rate working mens club] and its just rubbish... they represent the club at funerals and other events... they are good ambassadors.... well worth a free seat in a half empty ground

I wouldnt give out free tickets to anyone other than local kids

 

So who would you have representing the club?.... funerals/weddings/birthdays/hospitality etc etc.... players?... lodey?

Christ we cant even reply to emails/letters/phone calls let alone organise attendance at events

If you went and helped with PR and represented them would you want one/expect one?... how the hell you could eat one is a different question.

I think a big point is being missed..... they have tried to contact the club [not once] but had no reply....

I can't understand what the issue is.

 

Fans sometimes complain that players have no loyalty to our club and are only in it for the money. Yet here we have ex players, some who were local lads that represented our club in an FA Cup semi final (Colin Askey for example) who are very proud to have been a part of Port Vale. Does a free match day ticket really repay the hours that these ex players have given in free time to represent our club or the years spent talking about their experiences to us supporters.

 

I always enjoy talking to the ex players, be it Gerry Keenan at VP, Andy Jones in Bournemouth or Colin Askey at Newcastle Town.

 

It is obvious that they still have an interest in Port Vale, it's a pity that Port Vale (as a club) are no longer interested in them!
