What I'm saying is it doesn't account for the size of the trouble. Riots in Ireland this year saw about 60 policeman injured, plastic bullets fired and shops damaged. 21 people were charged.

Andy

23 supporters were arrested, 0.2 percent of the attendance, this is not as far as im concerned a major issue, your riots comparison has now bearing, my point is that shallow and uncontrolled policing methods on the biggest game of the season will now allow the police to control the required police presence for the rest of the season, adding to the costs etc, and the club are allowing the police to predict on a rather small percentage and not taking the failures of same into account, therefore the police are controlling the future costs by their own actions, thoughts?

Let's just hope that Smurf can point it out to the police in a similar way and keep the cost down.

The point is that the police can't arrest everyone during such trouble, so it doesn't reflect the amount of people actually involved.

The point is, if the wolves fans had been kept behind after the match, then there would not have been such trouble, fact.

If we didn't have an idiot element, there would have been any trouble, fact!

But we do and so do other club's FACT.

The police predicted trouble, there was trouble before and during the match. The police let the Wolves fans out causing the road to be rammed. They then tried to force fans quickly down the road, forcing both set's of fan's together. There was a police bike towards the bottom of the road and the road also narrows. This created the bottle neck. That is pure incompetence.

and all 4.4 thousand wolves fans were al angels, obviously no idiots element in their fan base so all wolves fans were looking to console all vale fans on the result, which no doubt the police thought that they should be allowed to share their concerns and so thought that it would be beneficial to allow them all out of the ground at the same time as the home supporters so that they could all exchange notes and opinions , pimms o'clock ?

That reads as though it was inevitable and a given that "Vale Fans" would cause disorder

Simple keep the Wolves fans in for a short time.Clear the Hamil road etc.Any people still loitering in groups on corners etc are then moved. This then lets the innocent move on out of the way much quicker and safer.Police then escort the Wolves(visiting supporters) away from the ground be it up or down Hamil.

And they have some idiots too? Does that make it better? When did i say anything resembling what you put. Its the apologists who seem to think both fans would have been all hi fives and smiles if the police werent there. I don't care about other clubs. You can try to blame he police and wolves fans all You want.

Who's to say those scumbags fans wouldn't have used it to simply put themselves into position for when Wolves fans were released.

The point is if people weren't mindless morons no-one would have needed to have been kept in aftter the match.

Clearly the Police have to reassess for the next game but the bottom line is - no scum, no trouble.
