I asked that question deliberately - it's dead easy to suggest other people ought to have higher moral standards than you would have yourself. If you've not done it, you shouldn't expect other people to.

I'm not saying it's the truth about season tickets, just why would you expect someone to risk their job (having only just started) when so much is at stake?

 

So when was the last time someone was sacked for telling the truth.Wouldn't bode well for a tribunal would it?

Would you like a list? It happens often enough, and those are only the ones we know about. It could constitute gross misconduct to refuse to carry out a legitimate instruction, unless it was considered to be supporting fraudulent trading....

Employment Tribunals are a lottery at best, and what compensation would you get....unless you're pretty confident you'd win, you wouldn't take that risk....

No arguments from me about that, I'd not be best pleased if it turned out to be rubbish....but let's see what happens.

Anyone who buys a season ticket under Valiant 2001 must be mad.

 

You only have to look at the last couple of months to see that next season will be a season of being at the bottom end of the table.

 

When you think over the last few years nearly £300,000 pounds of your season ticket money has gone to Bill Bratt in wages, NOT the team or THE CLUB, but Bratts bank account.

 

But at the end of the day if people enjoy watching Port Vale struggle in the 4th Division and you like to make Bratt and Co wealthy from your season ticket money then go ahead and buy another.

You can be sacked for a whole lot of things - whistleblowers get sacked all the time, and have to fight to get their job back. Not always winning, either.

All I'm saying is that it's a big risk to take....and I'm not sure I would. Would you?

 

We just finished below Crewe ***!!! Crap season......

There are lies, damned lies and statistics. Unfortunately they are the only options this board recognise. I wonder whether Deakin intended to throw out questionable season ticket sales figures before he got the job, or whether it is an approach he has adopted to stave of The Leagle Beagle.
