The only pay on the gate area was the Paddock. The ticket office is next to the Paddock, You don't even have to walk any further, so I don't see what the issue is. You missed a cracking game of nogger yesterday by the way.

Wow, "nogger", I haven't heard it called that since school. Thus is definitely a word I will be using more of in the future.

Would you go if you might have to wait 20 minutes to get a ticket every week ?

Or drive 6 miles mid week messing around to get a ticket and wasting one hour at least to save that 20 minutes on the day, if you can't print online the system is a joke.

Yes i would and i do.

I feel sorry for you driving 6 miles when myself and others have to board a plane to watch the mighty Vale.

What a very pathetic, sorry excuse.

No pay on the gate having a big affect for me. It's the reason I didn't attend yesterday.

That's a pathetic excuse. Two other side of the ground have been buying tickets for years with no problem or excuses. And has been said, the ticket office is next to the paddock gates. Suppose you won't ever go to a gig, play, musical etc ever again either because of having to buy a ticket.

As for the gates, unless people are expecting us to be getting gates like wolves then we are doing excellently. Especially for a new team in the division.

I'm a season ticket holder so its not sympathy I'm looking for but thanks. As for flying I did that a couple of times myself think it was Blackpool away.

The point is you are a dedicated fan and do a lot more than most would to watch the vale, your not the problem its the fans that will go and not go depending on the mood and who we are playing. I don't think the system at the moment encourages walk up fans on the day. Print online and i'm all for it but until then people won't bother and I can understand that and would think that somebody of Smurfs business history would be changing things fast to adapt for these fans.

Against Brentford i was a "walk up fan" as you put it.

I queued for 10 minutes to purchase a ticket at 1pm. I then had a browse in the club shop and spent 20 quid. I then went the pub.

Last season i would have gone straight the pub and then gone to the ground at 2.50pm.

I felt it was no inconvenience whatsoever and actually the club had 20 quid extra off me whilst i was there.

I would suggest the club is making much more money than before and i would also suggest that there is a very small minority of people who are that set in their ways that they dont like the new system.

There are many many excuses with not going. Work, family commitments to name but two. However, just because you cannot be arsed to buy a ticket beforehand is not a valid excuse and never will be in my eyes.

Smurf didn't seem to happy with the attendance:

@smurfpvfc: Tough game to watch but great result. If I am selling the Vale as a fortress we need more bodies and noise see what a 1000 Bradford fans can

@smurfpvfc: produce in noise and atmosphere.Still a lot to do on and off the pitch but yesterday inspires me we are heading in the right direction

Tbh George I think you have made more out of that than it is,Smurf has said that since the end of last season so nothing new,it was still above his 6,500 average
