Majestic golf course, the best Open venue for quality of the course, Turnberry beats it for sheer beauty.

I've not played the course but I've been many times to watch The Open. Every time we were in Gullane on our golf trips a drive through the gates to the car park to ogle the course was always top of out list.

Only Open course I've played is Hoylake but have been to every Open course to watch bar Royal Birkdale. Played many links courses in Scotland, England, N Ireland and France most of which were to tough for me. My favourites are Dunbar and Southerness both of which were playable for a 12 handicap hacker and Hoylake where I took the money.

Feel gutted for Westwood, hope he wins a major soon. If a Brit wasn't to win then I'm happy that Mickelson did, great player, great family guy who gives tons of money away to charity. To shoot 66 at Muirfield on the final day was just immense.
